Khookhoo pronounced “cuckoo” was inspired by one of my awe-inspiring blogger/friend. This name has a personal meaning to it which started out as a little joke, but soon showed me the meaning of being part of a group of people who seem to represent many things in which I believe in.

Through out my short life, I have not known many Khoo’s besides my own immediate family members. However, after being part of the sopo-bloggersphere I have come to know many Khoos who may not be my relatives but make me feel proud of this name. The reason being that the Khoos I have met may come from humble backgrounds and beginnings but have a passion so strong for change and doing what they feel is right.

In short, I hope the name Khoo reminds me of who I am, what I believe in, and everything that my family especially my father has thought me. To never compromise on your principles and what you believe in. To take a stand when you feel great injustice is being done, and above all to be brave in the face of adversities.

By the way, I am Kelly Khoo, at the moment of writing I am a CLP student, LLB lecturer, 23 years of age, and a little “cuckoo” sometimes too =)
